Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, exfoliating treatment helpful for those with active acne, acne scarring, sun-damaged skin, age spots, freckles, fine lines, scars, and rough skin. Microdermabrasion can be performed just about anywhere on the body: the face, neck, chest, hands, back, elbows, or feet.

Microdermabrasion improves acne skin by cleaning out clogged pores and reducing the appearance of large pores. Additionally, microdermabrasion softens rough, thick patches of dry skin and feathers margins of depressed scars.

Microdermabrasion is performed with a wand with diamond particles that is moved across the skin's surface, removing damaged cells to reveal fresh, invigorated skin. Because exfoliation occurs as the wand is drawn across the skin and there are no crystals being blasting against your skin, the diamondtome microdermabrasion system is more effective than other systems, even at its highest settings.

Patients experience softer, smoother, and cleaner skin after the first treatment. Treatments vary from one to ten sessions depending on the condition being treated and the type of skin.

As a noninvasive, non-surgical procedure, microdermabrasion requires no recovery period and provides a wonderful alternative to laser or chemical peels. Normal activity may be resumed immediately without redness or irritation. Unlike other microdermabraders, the system used at Lantry Laser contains no loose crystals or other abrasives to contaminate you or the environment.

Microdermabrasion treatments are pain-free and customized. Dr. Lantry’s skin care professionals are trained to tailor your treatment program. Your skin may be slightly flushed immediately after treatment but should return to normal within a few hours. Recurrent treatments are advised to maintain positive results.
